More Thankfulness
Ah I forgot to mention this in my last post, I was rattling along and forgot to mention one thing that I am really thankful for at this time of the year. Well Miss Jaylyn has already spilled her beans with the good news but I must share my self. Dave and I have truly have waited for this part of our lives's to start, and I'm grateful that we can say that we are going to be grandparents. Jaylyn is due in May. The end of May. So I can see my first grand baby be born, and then go to Argentina to pick up Jaren Phil. What a great year we will have. She will I believe be able to find what she is having before Christmas. What a great surprise to have. I just can't wait to spoil. I get to do the things I would never let my kids do with me! I don't have to be the parent. But I will be a good influence and teach of course. Its been fun to talk with David and decide what we want to be called. I think they will call him Poppy, or PaPa, me will I think when Jory has his children I want to be called Oma. I have no idea if I spelled that right. It's Dutch for Grandma. But I just want something special. I do like the traditional name of Grandma, Granny, But I just want something different. How about Mi Mi, I do like that....Hmmm we shall see what they want to call me. Maybe Grammy Pammy! OR Granny Pan?? I am so excited to look forward to this next part of life to just love and spoil!

All my grandparents have different names:
Papa & Nana Verne
Nana in the city (when she lived in SF) but then it changed to Nana in Ross (when she moved to Ross)
Noni and Tampa
and now my parents are Papa and Chachi (her real name is Shotzie)
I think Grandma and Grandpa are boring!
Pam, it is such a joy being a grandparent. It is also such an extention of our children and I found I loved, worried, cried, and fear just the same if not more :)
