Thistlehair The Christmas Bear

David came home the other night with this in his hands and saying "HO HO HO Merry Christmas!" And I was just laughing...what are you doing?? When he went to go pick flowers out for his mom's birthday this is what he found. It was on sale. So he had to buy it. He just thought it was really cute and would fit in for Christmas decorations. It is cute...and we nicked named it Thistlehair. Now the reason for the name is this song came out sooo long ago 1985 from Alabama Christmas album. We would listen to the cassette tape. Yep cassette tape back in the day when we traveled to Utah for Christmas. One of our Favorite songs on there was Thistlehair the Christmas Bear. It holds a lot of memories for our family. Oh Thistlehair the Christmas bear spreadin' the good news everywhere. About Christmas time and what it means. To all the children of the world. Every little boy and girl, Out there, love Thistlehair...listen and enjoy

Happy Thanksgiving!

I won this year! I have spent the last 5 yrs camping for elk hunting in the woods for Thanksgiving. Last year we were in the apt so camping was not to bad. But I put my foot down this year and said I have a new house we are having turkey day at home. Who ever wants to be there...well then be there!! Then everyone can go camping after that! And they did. This is Jaren's first Thanksgiving home since he has been on his mission for the past 2 yrs. I did miss having he other kids Janica and Cam and Jory and Britt but they went to the in-laws for turkey day. I'm curious as to how next year will play out.

This Thanksgiving I wanted it to be a little nicer like table wise. I wanted a nice table cloth which I did try and go to Wal-mart on Thanksgiving Day but could not find what I wanted. I seriously should have got it when I saw it in October... But I also wanted a nice center piece to. So David was so good as not knowing what I wanted got his mother a nice flower bouquet for her birthday and it served two purposes. Birthday-Table center piece. Sweet!
So here is my table set. I pulled out the nice dinner ware. Nice center piece and good food. It really turned out nice. Dave is the cooker for the turkey and this year we decided to cook it in the roasting pan. It was much more moister then in the oven. It all came together really well. I had one of my young women girls make pies. Apple pie, Pumpkin, and Apple Berry pie.
This is sooo fun. It's Breken's first Thanksgiving. I know like he really knows. But its fun to celebrate for the adults

Papa and Mi Mi
Here we are just eating our pies now. We had to let our tummy's settle from the turkey before we could shovel in pie...
Jaren has to take a picture of me eating my pie. Its Apple Berry pie

I'm Hungry!

I was out the other night and I was trying to get a picture of the sunset cause it was beautiful. So I was just standing on the porch and I could hear something. Then I looked over and this is what I saw. The neighbors horse eating the leaves off our tree! So funny

Happy Birthday Grandma

It's Grandma's Birthday and I knew where she wanted to go and eat her birthday dinner at...Cheese Cake Factory! Good choice.

This is her favorite dinner that her and Grandpa share. Its chicken with biscuits.

The B-rek is now wanting to grab at everything! We have to be careful as to not let him pull it off the table.

And this is Grandma's favorite desert to. Deep fried apple with ice cream. She is making her wish.

Ok for Dave and I our favorite desert is Banana Cream cheesecake. YUM.... and as you can tell the B-rek wants some tooo!

Talking with Papa

David has been gone a lot this month hunting. He has been with the boys and he is gone on his own hunt as well. But one night when he called to check in I was watching Breken.

I put the phone up to Brekens ear so that he could hear his Papa say hi to him. David talked to him in his Donald duck voice and he recognized it. He just got excited and smiled.

It's fun when he can recognize a voice just over the phone

Parking Lot

Hmmm we have some extra toys at our dirt parking spot! I guess with extra land you can park many things.. And we only own one boat, one camping trailor!

I just bought the B-rek some new clothes. Haha it kinda cooled off this week so I wanted him to have socks!! Seriously this little boy has not worn socks on his feet yet. Those little pants and onesie was $2 dollars a piece at Wal-mart. Great price! Ha so I told Jaylyn I can use them as PJ's here at the house for him.

Can you smell him??? I just got done giving him a bath! Can you smell the baby magic lotion I put on him..... He smells sooo good!

He is getting some cereal and vegetables now. Here is Jaylyn feeding him some vegetables. He is doing pretty good.

Peek-a-boo I see you...

Ahhh time for a nap! David was just reading a magazine and he was playing on the bed and just went to sleep! Can you say a great baby!
