Halloween~Chili~Birthday Party

Look At the B-rek! What a nice table center piece he is. We celebrated Dave's Birthday on Halloween because Dave and I flew out to Atlanta Georgia on his birthday for business. So of course I made our traditional crock pot texan chili and had a birthday party. It was a lovely evening to eat out side. It was sad we had no trick or treaters come to our house. Our street on Fairview the homes are just to spread apart and it makes it hard going from home to home. And really our house is off of Fairview. They would have to come down our dirt road in the dark. But it was ok we had fun at what we were doing.

Grandma and Grandpa are with us for Halloween this yr. They are enjoying the fine weather Arizona has to offer. And Grandma bought candy to give to the kids. Our kids, Jory, Britt, Jay, Jacob, Jaren Phil of all the years she missed being with them on Halloween. Sweet huh! They thought so.

Enjoying homemade chili, rolls, and the great weather

The Zebra and The Monkey

I bought Breken's Monkey costume. So Jaylyn was trying to figure out what she wanted to be with him. She thought of being a zoo keeper. So we went to spirit costumes the other night and she picked up the ears and gloves, then went to wal-mart and picked up the shirt. A Zebra she is. I think she did a great job by face painting her own face! Like I said, she should have been a make-up artist. Its still not to late Jaylyn....

One week in the 90 degree Arizona heat. This is what you get. Dead Pumpkins! Not fair

Da B-Rek!

Isn't this boy the baum!! Ahh when he comes to visit he just gets tons and tons of smooches all over his cute little cheekers!

Surprise!

I hate these suckers!!!!! I was cleaning the bathroom and pulled up the rug to clean the bottom of the toilet. And this was my surprise!!!! This has happened to me two other times. Pulled up a rug and I see one of these. No one has got stung yet thank goodness. We get sprayed once a month and it has helped. I just don't like to get surprised by these hateful suckers!!

Halloween Party

Our Friends Cheryl and Laci had a Halloween Party last weekend. Its been a long time since Dave and I have dressed up for Halloween. And it was fun. This is the first year ever...ever!! that I went to a costume store and bought us costumes. We have always found what we have around the house or gone to the salvation store and put things together. So I did try on quite a few of costumes. Its really nice that they let you try on before you buy. This is what I loved seeing on the package. Looking for the size and it says Size fits most! Well hopefully your one of the most that it fits!! So I chose to be the Saloon girl, and Dave the Western Bartender.

Jaylyn was my make up artist and hair styler. I believe she did a FANTASTIC job! I did tell her that she should really be a make up artist. I got three days of hairstyle out of the curls she did for me!

Hello Mr. Handsome!

Here is Cheryl and Laci. Their costumes turned out great

I love Halloween with all the options you can dress up! Roberto always does a great job! And Liz looks mighty fine in her costume to.

I just love this picture. This is Laci's grandfather. Can you believe he came to the party dressed up to! Love his spirit for Halloween! Seriously Cheryl he should have taken first place! hehehehe

This is little Laci. Grim Ripper

Very fitting for Mr. Connor!

I don't think that I have ever seen such a cute bumble Bee costume as Rachel had. She had some tight shoes on to go with the costume.

WOW can you believe Brad's original costume!!! He out did himself this time. And when we came to the party I did not realize that Tyler was the janitor behind that mask. Tonya's costume was so cute.

Mr Wright! Having fun with the karaoke singing! He just has a great time partying! It was a great night with friends to celebrate the spirit of Halloween!

Pumpkin Carving

Ok so this year was a lot of fun to carve pumpkins. One is that it's Breken's first Halloween, but then again he is only 4 1/2 months old. And he was a sleep when we did the carving. But the second is that we were in an apt last yr. Only Dave and I carved out our pumpkins. So indeed it was fun to have a house again and get back into some Halloween traditions again. And we had Dave's parents with us to help with the fun!

It's fun to see what every ones choices will be to carve their own pumpkins! Will it be a scary one or fun one..who knows

Dave did a good job on our pumpkin. It was funny during the week I had chosen out which face I wanted to carve. But I did not tell David. Low and behold he was in tuned to me. He picked the same one I wanted. Cha chink 2 points for Mr. Wright!!
He looks soo happy with his done project!

I think the kids did a really good job on their pumpkin's. And the B-rek finally woke up from his nap!

Here is Grandma and Grandpa having fun to

He is soooo cute!

Sneak Peak

We were just tyring out Breken's Halloween costume to see if it fits! Yep its fits. If you can't tell what he is....he is a monkey! Grandpa calls him his little monkey. Sooo I saw this costume at Old Navy and had to buy it. These poor babies have to endure adult dress up....LOL But they are sooo cute dressed up!

I love my B-rek junk monk!

Home Videos

Sunday night Jaren pulls out the home videos. He does this every so often and will just watch videos of the past. Well Jory and Britt were over and so was Jay and Breken so we gathered in the living room to watch. The first one was at Christmas. We just have to laugh at Jory as he gets soooo excited to open up his Christmas presents as well as his siblings. He was always there to help and open up Jaylyn's or Jaren's present. It was a crack up. We watched one of Jory's birthday party were we had a pinata and just imagine boys at the age of 6 swinging a bat around to hit the pinata. These kids were sooo cute being that little. It was crazy. They have little voices.

Then we watched this one from when Janica had her birthday. Uggg I just have to think what was I thinking when looking at what I wore then and my hair. But it was the early 90's and I was in style. Very high waisted pants.....

I so do remember this time when it was being videoed taped. I remember that outfit Janica had on, and those bows I made. They were popular then. She was so cute.

This is our little Phil. Jaren Philip. I remember him being sooo little. Look how fast they grow up.

I will say it again, I remember video tapping this. When you live out of state and not with your extended family all you have is your little family to celebrate birthdays with. I so do cherish these times we had with the kids. We had a lot of fun celebrating with just us! I'm glad we have some of these memories on tape. We just laughed and laughed. So many more to watch. We should have a family night of home videos. Look Dave's hair was brown....LOL

The Mother Load Of All Storms!!!

We seriously thought that the Monsoon weather was gone!!! NOT! But then again I don't think this was a monsoon type of weather. It was a big big big storm that hit right around work. Just off of Baseline and Stapley. But then again it was a major storm that hit Gilbert, Mesa, Chandler and Phoenix. But it did not hit at home like it did towards work. I just left work with David from having lunch with him. Like after 1pm. Went to Ulta to get some hair products and just realized that I forgot my coupon. So I just said to myself that I will just head home and get it and then go to the one by home. Then I just decided to go ahead and hit Kohl's. I have not been there for over a year...I wanted to look for some dockers pants for David. So I was inside by the pants and thought is that rain??? I could hear that it was thundering, but the weather did not look real threatening when I went in the store. I could not decide if it was rain or the air conditioner going on real hard. So it continued then I went to the front doors. And ya it was raining. Hard. So then I went by the shoes and was looking at them, and the same thing is that rain or the air conditioner again. So I went to a different door and WOW it was rain!!! It looked like we were in a Hurricane. It seriously freaked me out. I called David to tell him what I was seeing. He was so worried about me. I did not know if I was in the car driving. If I was to be driving in that mess of rain I would have been crying!! I have never seen so much rain and hail all in about 5 minutes. You could not see the cars in the parking lot due to the rain and wind and hail. Well after it passed I was done and wanted to head home. The sun came out so weird and then the after math of it all.

When I came out to the car I just was amazed at how much water was in the parking lot. I had to take off my sandals to walk to my car.

As you can see the water was up to my ankles. I just laughed so hard to myself.

So there was a lot of downed trees in the parking lot. Thank goodness I did not park next to a tree.

All these trees were in Kohl's parking lot. They just snapped.

Came home less then an hr and it started to rain at home. Not what we got earlier towards work, but it rained.

Should have been catching that rain and then washed my hair in rain water. The storms kept passing all day. It was so nice to see the rain come and go. We really need the rain. But this storm created a lot of mess to clean up.
