Super Bowl Sunday

Jaren invited his friends to the house this year because its been 2 yrs since he has seen a super bowl game. His first year out in the mission field was when the Cardinals played. Ahhhh.... This year it was the Pittsburgh Stealer's and Green Bay Packers. I found it very interesting that a lot of people were wanting Green Bay to win. I bought some pizzas and his friends brought the other goodies.

This is Jaren's friend Joe, he has not seen him since he left on his mission 2 years ago. They had a great time catching up.

Gotta love Taylor, besides eating all the junk he has room for a bowl of cereal!

Here are Jaren's friends that came

Jaren and his Mama...

And we have Mr. Dave at half time dancing to Fergie!!
Score Green Bay 31 Steelers 25 Great game!

My Moment Of Thanks

So today I had to give the lesson in Young Women's. Its the first of the month and one of the Presidency gives a lesson to all the girls. This is not my favorite time of the month when I have to give the lesson. Soo today was not a favorite to me!! I'm writing this so that I can and will remember the thanks I have in my heart today. I have a quote that was given a few weeks ago when I was at a auxiliary meeting and its says " We fill a burden in our callings when we are doing things we are not used to..." Yes I feel its a burden to give a lesson in Young Women's! Its really hard for me. I get soooo stressed and overwhelmed when its my turn. It makes me stretch out of my comfort zone. This will be and always a hardship to me. Its just that I'm not used to doing it. Its a talent I will have to work at. So as a Young Women Presidency we are wanting to take some parts of the thirteenth article of faith and give our lessons. So that means having to make up a lesson. Me...my thoughts?? ARE YOU SERIOUS!!!!! I have a hard time with the lesson manual and it gives me an outline of how to do the lesson. Well its been a 3 week process for me to think of how I want to do the lesson. My part today was We Believe. Now to some its easy. For me ah well I have to work at it. So 2 weeks ago I did find some stuff off the internet to use. Sat down with my wonderful husband David and we started to do my lesson on Friday night. I have to use David. He is my strength in all this. He teaches me. Well I was not to nice that night. I got really stressed out and had a few things on paper, but we went to bed mad. Well more me then him. I was mad at myself for being who I was at the moment. Satan can really find your weak spots!! Enough said! So Saturday new day new thoughts. We had the opportunity to go to the temple. It was our ward temple night. So we went. I did not go with a happy heart I might say. Feeling soo stressed as to how my lesson was going to be. That's all that was on my mind. It is said that when you enter the temple your worries go away. You feel safe. Yes that is true. My worries were not swept away but less burdened. I felt at piece being able to serve Heavenly Father. As the night went on finished the temple went to dinner and then home. Home to a noisy house with the kids watching a UFC fight. Or what ever it is called. So I just went into my bedroom shut the door and Dave and I went to doing my lesson. My thoughts had changed as to what the lesson should be and used the other material I found earlier in the day. And I used some other stuff that I used way back in the day when I was YW president in my other ward. With the love of David and his patients with me I had my lesson out lined. But most of all and this is where I need to give thanks to is my Heavenly Father who helped me prepare what the girls needed. He believed in me to give this lesson. With all my fears that I have of giving a lesson he prepared me to give it. Its little moments like this that help us grow and stretch us out of our comfort zone. So now I have a sigh of relief that it is done.. I did well. I beat myself up hard sometimes and think I could do better. Today I did ok. The lesson sometimes is really not for the girls its more for me. Its a beautiful feeling when the girls come and say Thank You and hug you. So now its kick back and enjoy the rest of the day. Super bowl Sunday bring it on....let the party begin!

Kisses For Mimi

Wet kisses is what I get! I spent at least 15 mins playing with this kid and giving him wet kisses! That's what he wanted! He is a hoot!

He is still trying to teeth. Earlier this week it felt like on the bottom it broke through. But both Jaylyn and I felt his bottom gums and its nothing. So some day soon he will get some teeth. All that slobbery will pay off!
