Thanksgiving

So for the 3rd year we went camping for Thanksgiving. I'm a very good wife I might say!! I told David that seriously we are not doing this again next yr. Well the purpose for this camping is Elk hunting. We we did not get a permit this year, but Mr. Wright had to help his friend get one. But he didn't get one. But I will have to admit, it's kinda fun doing something different, but this year was a little harder to go. Well maybe its cause we are still in an Apt and it's hard to get the trailer out of storage and pack it up. Jory and Brittney came up Thanksgiving Day and stayed the night with us and then left on Friday because she had a friend getting married. They came back up on Sunday to bring the quad's and trailer home. But what is fun is that we got snowed on. It's a change of weather for us to see snow. And its fun for me while Dave is out hunting I put the heater on high and I was reading the Twilight books and I was in New Moon. So he got what he wanted and I did to. He is in heaven when we are camping like that.

This is a picture when we were leaving to go home. It was pretty to see the snow with the sun going down.

David really thought he was funny when he took this picture!!

Dave, with Dave Foulk with his son Kevin, and Jory and Brittney

Tawni was not to sure about this snow stuff

Mr. Wright loving every bit of the snow

He loves his quad with that little trailer on it. He is like a kid

Ha he looks like a moss man to me in that jacket

That's our dinner, but it's not a Turkey! Its Ham!! And it was good with funeral potatoes LOL

Getting his knives ready for the big kill if necessary!

More Thankfulness

Ah I forgot to mention this in my last post, I was rattling along and forgot to mention one thing that I am really thankful for at this time of the year. Well Miss Jaylyn has already spilled her beans with the good news but I must share my self. Dave and I have truly have waited for this part of our lives's to start, and I'm grateful that we can say that we are going to be grandparents. Jaylyn is due in May. The end of May. So I can see my first grand baby be born, and then go to Argentina to pick up Jaren Phil. What a great year we will have. She will I believe be able to find what she is having before Christmas. What a great surprise to have. I just can't wait to spoil. I get to do the things I would never let my kids do with me! I don't have to be the parent. But I will be a good influence and teach of course. Its been fun to talk with David and decide what we want to be called. I think they will call him Poppy, or PaPa, me will I think when Jory has his children I want to be called Oma. I have no idea if I spelled that right. It's Dutch for Grandma. But I just want something special. I do like the traditional name of Grandma, Granny, But I just want something different. How about Mi Mi, I do like that....Hmmm we shall see what they want to call me. Maybe Grammy Pammy! OR Granny Pan?? I am so excited to look forward to this next part of life to just love and spoil!

Thanksgiving Time

Well I feel that its important for me to write some things at this time of the year. It's going fast and fast and the Holiday's are coming upon us. I just feel that its important that we take the time to really think about this Holiday that is coming upon us. I feel that we or the world just kinda passes it by and pushes Christmas on us. I know they want us to spend money. But Thanksgiving is a time to really reflect on what we have to be thankful for and be humble and more appreciative of what we have. To focus on our family traditions that bonds us together. I'm very appreciative of our family's and the love and support they give to our family. We have an abundance of health. I'm very grateful for that. We have our aches and pains but in reality we are healthy. I'm grateful for my adult children how fun it is to enjoy this part of our lives with them. Our family is growing with a new daughter in law. And we love her like our own. My list can go on and on but one thing I'm very grateful for is Jaren Phil and for him to serve the lord for two yrs. It is not easy to be away from family and for him to hear how life goes on with out him and how he wishes he could be here. But he is doing what the lord wants and he is richly blessed by serving him and the people of Argentina. How I do admire him for his hard work. We are all truly blessed by his selfless serving and growing in to the most finest young man who will be of great honor to keep continuing to serve the lord. So with not having a home right at this time, I'm still grateful for the warmth and comfort that I do have in the apt. Some don't even have that. So many more Thanksgiving to look forward to with the ever changing cycle of life that we experience. Happy Thanksgiving!

Good Friends

This is my friend since High School Jeanette Pead. And a true friend at that. Her daughter Corrianne got married the same day as Jory did at the Salt Lake Temple. And her only daughter as well. She has 3 sons. It was so exciting to see them at the Temple that day. Jeanette is one of those rare friends that is there always. She is a true example of the savior. She has never judged me for my shit, damn, hell words. Her beauty on the outside is the same on the inside. I admire her in so many ways. And she has that smile at all times. She has had some ruff years but always kept that same spirit with her. Her daughter is the same way. She has taught her well. But then again her other children carry those same traits. She is a very good parent. Her daughter Corrianne got engaged about the same time Jory and Brittney did. And I can't believe they chose the same day to marry as well as the Temple. AND they had the same sealer as well. Richard (Dick) Hinckley. Corrianne got married to her husband Jared at 11:40 and Jory got married at 1:40pm. When I got to the temple with Jory I was just so hoping to see them. I did see Jeanette's two other boys in the waiting room and they said they were still inside getting ready. I went down to the brides room and was soooo excited to see them there. OH Corrianne was sooo beautiful. I just wanted to cry. How gracious and kind they both were to let me just visit for a minute with them while Jeanette was getting her ready to go out.

Then as I was still waiting to go and see Jory get married they were out side taking their family photo's and I found them again. So I got to take a picture really quick! Its so fun to see the family's so happy. They all looked great!!

I'm so happy that I had this opportunity to see Jeannette and Corrianne at the Temple. What a great day they had as well as us!!

Which house??

This house hunting can be for the birds! It can be really fun but then be very disappointing as well!! You really get to see how differently people live. What tastes they have in decorating!! Wow we have seen some decorations that have left some people back in the 7o's!! SERIOUSLY!! Its been an adventure to remember. We did back in July put in an offer on a home but they did not take it. Its OK there are more homes to look at and buy for the right money. Its suppose to be a buyers market they say.

I have seen some ugly houses! And then some really nice homes as well. I believe I'm extremely picky. And I believe that's OK! I left a nice home and I want to replace it with a nice home. I looked in one home and the showers were so gross I said no way. Really you can replace them but it just grossed me out so bad I could not look past it. I know my bad....

My friend Cheryl has been really helpful as to helping us find a home and go with us looking. Its her husband's Uncle that is helping us. Cheryl and I go bike riding looking for homes in neighborhoods that are close to her. Its been really fun to do that.

So there is hope that out of one of these home's we have actually put an offer in. It's a short sale so it might take a while. Ha I guess we have time. I don't seem to think so, I want a house now. I'm grateful to have an place to live, but want my own space again. Apt life was when we were first married. I believe I have grown from that stage in life....So hopefully soon I will post which one it is.

Jory & Brittney's Day

Ok I have a lot of pic's here from the wedding, its hard to pic and choose what to put on, so here it goes. I believe that Jory and Brittney had a great day for their wedding. The weather was beautiful. Not to to cold, we did have the wind come up but we were done with picture's by then. But all in all it was just a very nice day. Things seem to fall into place well. At least that's from my perspective point...The bridesmaids dress all turned out sooo nice. The girls looked beautiful. Well the bride, well she was just gorgeous!! Her dress was oh so beautiful. Brittney's sister did her hair. Jory and Brittney were a gorgeous couple together. And Richard (Dick) Hinckley married them as well!! How do you top that off. He is Pres. Hinckley son. A family friend on Brittney's side of the family. It was a lovely day one I hope that the both of them will remember of how much love their family's enjoyed sharing their day with them and wishing them the most wonderful journey in life together!

This was so cute, we were all trying to get ready and we were all trying to use Grandma Wright's bathroom. She has the bigger mirror. So Jory is with all us girls!
