We went to Utah this past weekend for David to do the Tough Mudder Run. And I was so excited for us to possibly take a ride to the mountains to see the leaves. Well no time at all did we have to do that. So on our way home I was trying really hard to take a picture along the way of some of the leaves that have changed. This picture was taken in between Panguitch and Knab. When we left Az it was still in the mid 90's. We really don't get to feel that fall feeling because our trees in the valley don't really change. You have to go to Flagstaff or Payson and see the leaves. It's a great feeling to feel the change of the seasons come and go. When you live in Az you don't get to feel the season change. I have those feelings but don't see them. Weird I know. While driving to Utah you have time to sit and think a lot. I had feelings on the seasons and thought which season is my favorite....Well I decided summer is my favorite. I don't like to stop playing in the summer. Summer means Lake Powell, Trips to the beach in California. I don't get to do that as much as I like. And swimming. Summer is just play time!! But my thoughts about the other seasons are I love spring and the new feeling that comes from it. Leaving behind winter and starting fresh. Fall I love to see the colors in the trees like the reds and oranges and bright yellow. Those feelings are letting go of the summer accepting change and liking it because it feels good to have the cool weather that comes with it. Change of clothes to wearing sweaters. So that leaves winter as not my so favorite season. I love Christmas time and the fun time we spend with family. But being cold I guess I really don't like! I love Halloween and the fun that comes with it. I really hate the month of January! Biggest letdown of the month. So there you have my feelings on the seasons!!

You have as lovely family-- it was neat to visit here.
I have such a different perspective on the seasons... I prefer cold to hot, so i can build a fire and bake and do all those "warming" things, whereas, when it's hot, after a certain point there is nothing you can do to make it less uncomfortable.
But Fall, well-- I love it.
