This was so neat to find along our path on our hike. Cheryl and Sandra have seen two already. This was my first one. A desert tortoise. So cool! I did find out your not suppose to pick them up you can get fined...
I was just soo curious to see what he would look like. Then he stuck his head in.
We had a storm come in the night before and it really rained up Usury Pass. So a lot of puddles of water for desert animals to come out for a drink. Earlier when we started our hike we saw some deer again.
