Warrior Dash 2012!

This was Dave's first ever running or competing with me and Cheryl. I have been wanting to do this run for a while. I did my first one last year in Colorado with Cheryl and Sandra and we just had sooo much fun. Now Dave has been working out over a year now so I thought he needed to put it to action.......I just really wanted him to have fun with me and enjoy these races!!  So this is the clean start version of us! Its really fun to see what costumes people come up with when they run. I like to keep it simple if you can. Remember you have to run in it!
We had fun. I just need to say that David would have kicked our butts to the final if I would have let him. He asked me before it started what I wanted from him..stay with me through the run or just let him run on his own.  I asked him to stay with me and have fun together....I really should have let him go ahead of us cuz he had the power to run and do the obstacles!! He was so cute as to help Cheryl and I push through running! He Had a BLAST!!
Our time was good for Cheryl and I. We did it in 47 minutes. Usually we play along the way and have fun and do a lot of walking. Now David really could have made it in 35 to 40 minutes. I am really proud of us and our time!
We went and got hosed of. And I mean hosed off. With big hoses like fireman hoses. You have to be careful because Cheryl lost her sunglasses!!

I'm so proud of Mr. Wright!!

I hope that Dave will choose to do another run with me. I know he felt so good doing it and that all the training he has been doing  really paid off!.

Sunday Dinner

The weather is so nice we really need to take advantage of eating outside and enjoying it because the heat is coming on fast weather we like it or not. So its fun to have the kids for Sunday dinner and enjoy the outdoors!
Breken for some reason loves to play with fake flowers. I bought these flowers to make a head band.

Easton is enjoying being out side very much!
Easton sitting with his mom and dad

Dave and I participated in a Warrior Dash Run! This really is the clean up version of us. We had to show off our T-shirts we got.
This was Dave's first event of running and rolling in the mud. He did a great job doing the obstacles

Now Jory had the camera and he said look like a lion with long claws and feel  like a lamb......OK so this is what you get.......
Breken just loves to be out side and he got to ride his car out side for the first time

Warrior Workout!

These pictures are from my phone so some are a little blurry cause we were moving, They were taken from our trainer Dan Pringle. But Dave and I are participating in a Warrior Dash run. Ha I kinda pushed Dave into doing it. He just doesn't know how much fun he will have. But Dave has been seeing a trainer for a year now. He has come along way. I'm proud of him. So Dan has been doing workouts with us to help with the run and obstacles we will do. We had another workout with Dan and I did not get pictures on that one, but it was good!!! I think we are ready!

First Bike Ride Together

I always go with  Cheryl and do my bike rides. I have tried to get David but he is usually busy and in reality he does not have the passion for it like I do. But I asked him if he wanted to do one and he was up for it. We got a little late start but we had fun. We biked to work which was one way 10 miles. Had a rest, but he thought he needed to work, and I stopped him from that and said this is not a work day!!! Its a bike day! Then went to Subway for lunch and then biked home. K it was warm that day. First triple digit temp in Az of the yr.  Like 100 degrees. Ya it was warm. But I think what was really bothering David was his BUTT!! It was sore. Ha I got me a new gel seat and gave him my old one. I know that if I had not done that it would have been much worse. My butt was already sore from my bike ride with Cheryl during the week, but mine was broke in already!.
It was a great day! Dave loved it. We went 25 miles that day. We came home and jumped in the pool! WOW it felt good! He wants to do more. We did do one a few days later and it was in the evening time and we got lights for our bikes. So we are ready to ride......

Bike Rides..

So here is Cheryl and I out on our bike ride. It was my first of the year. She has been doing her bikes rides already. But we love to ride the canals.  Ha she pulled our her 5 hr drink. We were getting a little tired. Riding bikes can get you very addicted. One thing I have noticed this yr that there was as ton of fishes in the canals. I told Jaren I know where he can go fishing for sure! We biked 38 miles that day. Then the next day we did 30. It just goes by so fast!

Rocky Point Mexico!

Dave and I had the opportunity to go to Rocky Point with our friends Laci and Cheryl. Some of our mutual friends Darren and Sandra Dodd were doing a race down there. It has been like 4 yrs since we have been there. And I sooo have missed being there. So this is Dave helping letting the trucks that are in the race and  bikes like motor bikes and quads go down were they are racing. Ahhh He had so much fun doing this and then seeing the races begin as well.
Here is Cheryl with Nancy and Irv handling the "drink" station

The winds kicked up and made it a little hard for the stands to work, but hey you want food and drinks you just don't mind the wind. They were pretty strong.

This is my favorite past time to hit the tide pools and find some treasures. Only snails this time, but it so fun to just wonder around and enjoy the ocean.

Here is Dave talking with one of the helpers that helped with the races speak his Spanish.
This is Sandra and Darren's place. Along with Irv and Nancy, Cheryl and Laci. It was Sunday the last day and it was a beautiful day. No wind. Figures when you have to go home. Oh well, Dave got his feet wet back into Mexico so hopefully we can go more again. I love the fish tacos there!!
