TWILIGHT!!

So I just loved seeing Twilight!!! I loved it, I loved it!! I want to see it again!!
Jaylyn and Jacob went about 7pm to get in line. Thank You Thank You! They had
different groups of people going at certain times to go in. They did not have to be in
line for long. I on the other hand did not have to wait in line. Its the privilege of
being the mom! and going right into my seat! Love it....I had to finish watching my
other shows like SURVIVOR which by the way I would not have missed that night!
(it was a good one Randy got kicked off!!)
and CSI Vegas, and ER! But I just loved the movie. It stayed close to the book. I know
that people have different feelings about it, like wanting more detail, but you get that in
the book. All in all when the movie was done I wanted more of it, the second book the third
but i STILL have to finish the last book. So hush....

Here is Jacob's Mom Helen, Jacob, Jay, and me.
Jacob's sister Megan came a little later just before
the movie started.

Celebrating Birthday's

So we finally got together with our little groupie to
celebrate past birthdays! Kay Lyn's was the last part of August. Rahn & Gayle's
was the first part of November. So we went to eat at this place called Waldo's
Its a Barbeque place. It was really good! I took 3 pictures of these
guys and they would not corporate. Ya David your telling me I'm
the loser, but its you really!

As you can see we had the boys on one side and the
girls on the other side. Its not a really big place so
we had to sit on two tables. It was great, the girls
did their girl talk and the boys did theirs! So the next
B-day is in December which will be Roberto's. Hopefully we can
keep up and not get so behind.

Tawni's Playmate

Tawni had her playmate friend Sid come and play with her this week. He came on last Sunday and left on a Wednesday eve. Our friends Marc and Jill Young were getting their carpets cleaned
so we had Sid come and play. They play so well with each other. At first they have to let the other know who is the boss! Ha its funny, then they eventually get over it, and just run and play. We had really good weather this week so I let them play out side allot.

This is Tawni's place in my room where she sleeps during the day
when I'm in my room. She did not know
what to do with Sid in her spot. So I put her up
there and Sid could care less!

They run up and down the hall way and play
and run down the stairs as well.

This is some what of a rest! Just for a bit.

I'm not a Scrooge!

David has been teasing me so much this weekend about getting ready for Christmas. He wants to listen to the radio station that is ALREADY playing Christmas music. They started playing it last week. And I won't yet. He is saying that Thanksgiving is just two weeks away and then after that just 3 weeks till Christmas. I just really want to enjoy the Holidays as they come. You see Halloween is in stores in September. And then Christmas is being pushed in October. I just don't like being shoved into the Holidays like that. My personal feeling is that Thanksgiving gets really missed and I think its a really important one for us to really give thanks for allot of things. Let me feel THANKFUL for all that I have and then start going into the Christmas spirit with the right feeling of love and service. Christmas is a really fun time for me. I love the decorations, our traditions that we create. But most of all the giving part. so I'M NOT A SCROOGE! I just want to enjoy the Holidays that are coming and be peaceful about it all.
Saturday Dave and I went to Payson Az to pick up his Javelina hyde and scull that he shot back last January. He was just sooo excited to get it finally! I politely asked him not to bring it in the house it was shedding dust and weird other stuff. He just laughed at me. Some of you might ask if it gets mounted in the house some where and the answer is NO. So sorry Dave, its gets to stay in your office in the garage. He has another hunt starting in January of 09. We will see how lucky he will be for that hunt!

Jaren's Mission

So here is Jaren Phil on his mission in Argentina. This boy just loves his mission. We are all wondering when he has a bad day what it will be like. He gives just great letters to us and they are long ones as well. It is getting into summer over there. It is going to be really hot around Christmas time. And they don't have air conditioners like we do here. But he is tuff he is used to the heat. Its really wonderful in his first area that he has had the opportunity to have a few baptisms. He is going to have one this weekend. Right now he is companions with a Elder who is from Washington, I don't know exactly where. But he is in a band called The Scene Aesthetic. Its really a nice group. Jaren just loves his companion because he knew of this band before he left. And he knew that one of the singers was LDS and serving a mission in Argentina. Well what a small world for him he is serving with this young man. Jaren's dream. They do really well with each other to. His companion will go home in 6 weeks. So Jaren has had him through 2 transfers. But i do want to say a few things about Jaren's first companion who was the first to train him. His name is Tyson Huggans. What a wonderful wonderful young man! He is from Gilbert Az and we had the opportunity to take him to lunch and visit with him and go to his homecoming. What a humble person who served well. Jaren was really fortunate to have Tyson be his first trainer. Him and Jaren got along really well. Jaren mentioned in one of his letters that it was hard to let him go. He learned so much from him. You always pray that they get a great companion to train them right when they get there to their mission. Well our prayers were answered. I know that Jaren is going to have many more companions to learn from. He will have his ultimate favorites and then the ones you tolerate for what time you have with them. Its natural you don't get along with EVERYBODY! But I'm proud of Jaren for preparing himself to serve the lord for 2yrs. in a foreign country. He has a strong testimony of the gospel and our Heavenly Father. I look forward to June 2010 to go and pick him up

letters, Carlos and Susana, and family

Mr. Dave is just a parting man! He celebrated all weekend long last weekend when it was his birthday. But this party was to top it off. Its tradition to have a chili party on his birthday. When he was a kid his mom would make chili for Halloween and have donuts and apple cider to keep them home and safe. So it has been a tradition here in Arizona to to celebrate Dave's birthday and make chili. We have been doing it since the first year we were here in Arizona back in 1984! WOW! I reminisced alot with this party because Janica and Cam are living in Ut. Jory just moved to Utah but did come for the party. Jaylyn and Jacob live in Coolidge Az. And Jaren is in Argentina. So I only had two kids here to help celebrate. We have lots and lots of memories with our chili party's. The Monte's, Judd's, Arthur's, & Draney's and many more kids have grown up and now have kids of their own.Time does fly....But many thanks to those that came to share with David's 50th Birthday and make many more memories to come with our chili party.

Find the Phone

Today when I got home from a baptism, I went to look for the phone. Hmmm can't find it anywhere. I looked in the bathroom, the kitchen, even in the garage. Hmmmm then I decided to page the phone and see where it exactly went. So I push the pager to hear the beep and I could not hear the beep any where. I went up stairs no beep, hmm back down to the garage, no beep so I'm thinking where the hec is the phone...so I push the pager again to hear the beep and then went into Jory's room and I hear a faint beep. So I go to the closet, hmm its faint still but not in the closet, so I go out side and look on the table no phone then I go to the side of the house where the garbage is at and hmmm it sounds a little louder. So I open up the lid and then I start to laugh....the night before Jaylyn and I where cleaning up the kitchen after David's chili b-day party and I remember that the phone fell in the garbage and we laughed and said well that was a good landing....hahah but we never got the phone out of the garbage. Well it got rapped up and put out to the big garbage to be dumped! Wow luckily I have it. I did have to pick at the garbage and get it, but I did clean it off with some Lysol wipes.

You are thoughtful and care very deeply for your family. A loving home is of great
importance to you and you always try to make people feel welcome. Although you have a great capacity to love, you also have a great capacity to hurt, so at times you can be
sensitive. You're firm when you need to be, but people trust your judgment and
appreciate the kind way you always handle things.

David has been celebrating all weekend for his birthday. I guess he has a right when you turn the big 50! Friday at work we had lunch with the workers and had cake, then on his actual birthday which was yesterday, he wanted to go quad riding with his Mom and Dad which are in town for his birthday. We went to Four Peaks to ride our quads. It was really busy with other people doing the same thing. It has been nice weather so everyone wants to get out. We started out having breakfast at the Five and Diner, and then we had them make sandwiches for us as well. So we road all the way to the top of Four Peaks had lunch and came back down. Then today we had Sunday dinner with Jaylyn and Jacob and had another cake. I believe he had a well celebrated birthday! Happy Birthday to my old fat crap of man!! That was said in a nice way....really : )

HUSBAND TAG!~*~*~* ITS HIS BIRTHDAY TODAY

1. How did you meet? We met while I was with a friend in her car and we were driving the vard! In other words the boulevard in down town Ogden Ut. It was called Washington Boulevard. He was with his friend Jay Cunningham in his truck. We pulled over to talk.....I was not interested in his friend, and his friend was not interested in my friend as well. We spoke for a bit, Dave and I, and then he asked me for my phone number and I was giving him a really hard time about that. I said to him that ya you are out here tonight just to see how many numbers you can get from girls to put in your little black book! And his friend said just give him your number and he will call you! So I did. He was cute you know.....and he did call me and we did go out of course....

2. How long did you date before you got married? We met March 31st, Got engaged June 2, and was married Aug 22nd. That would be about 5 months.

3. How long have you been married? We have been married for 28yrs.

4. What does he do to surprise you? Ok this one time we were shopping and we were just looking around at different things, well I like purses and so we happened to be looking at them. We both like the name brand Fossil. It has watches and stuff that we like. Well there was this purse that was a fossil and boy it was nice. I was really amused at all the prices of the purses because I just go to Target and get my purses there. MUCH cheaper. But he saw me look at this one purse and I really liked it. But for a $100.00 dollars NO WAY! But he told the lady he wanted it, and asked to wrap it up. I just stood there with my mouth open.....and I said REALLY!!?? He said yes, why not. I love you, and you deserve it. OK it felt sooo romantic I don't know why... but it really surprised me. And that purse is really my favorite and I won't let it go to the DI either.

5. What is your favorite feature of his? Well when we were dating I loved his arms. They were buff. And he had a tiny waste. Like a body builder. Where he worked he lifted allot of heavy stuff so he was fit! I love his blue eyes. I loved it when we were dating that he would wear this yellow shirt and his eyes would just be sooo blue! And also he has a cute butt!!

6. What is your favorite quality of his? Well he has the ability to make friends quickly. Makes you feel so comfortable to be around him. From the first time I met him he has never been with out a job. He is the most hard worker I have ever met. He works hard for his family so that we can afford to do the things we like to do as a family. Camping, Boating, Hunting.... He was never afraid to help me with the kids when they were babies. With Janica only weighing 3lbs and 11oz at birth, he was so excited to hold her. Was never afraid.

7. Does he have a nickname for you? Hmmm the only one that I know that he calls me by is Pammy. Oh and this one is just a recent one...Sister wife....inside joke one...

8. What is his favorite color? It is black!

9. What is his favorite food? Well he likes Sushi, Mexican food, with jalapenos! Chinese food. One thing he will NOT eat is TV dinners or macaroni and cheese in a box! I'm blessed he is well rounded person around food! Not to picky at all.

10. What is his favorite sport? Ha I'm lucky. He is not a big sport fan. He likes football, baseball, and basket ball. But he does not sit in front of the TV and drull. BUT I do believe hunting is a sport! Thats what he loves the most. Oh ha and guns! (that might be a hobby!)

11. When and Where was your first Kiss!? It was our first date. We had just got done seeing the movie "Hide in plain sight" With James Con. And we drove around a bit, then we ended by where he worked at the motorcycle place in the parking lot in his truck. Which was a Dodge 4-wheel drive truck. Cool truck! Talked about motorcycles.. and various other things....and then he asked me if he could kiss me....I was sooo impressed with that, that I could not say no.. so we kissed

12. What do you like to do together? We just generally like to be with each other and doing anything. Like going for car rides and talking, or going for walks around our neighborhood. But we love to go camping, boating, quad riding. We like to shop with each other as well. We give and take. Clothes, then I have to go and look at guns and knives. When the kids were little we would go like at 10 at night load the kids up in the suburban in their Jammie's and go fishing till like 3 or 4 in the morning. They loved it.

13. Do you have any children yet? YES! Four. 2 girls 2 boys, Janica, Jory, Jaylyn, Jaren. Then I have two son in laws, Cam and Jacob. Then I have an adopted son.... Dave Hatch, and his wife Jessica!

14. Who said I Love You first? Dave said I LOVE YOU first. And when I did not return it back to him, cause I wanted to be sure that when I said it I knew I meant it, he was upset and he was on his motorcycle and he went home and he got pulled over for speeding and got a ticket! I didn't feel bad, was not my fault...

15. What is his favorite type of music? He loves the 70's music. He has XM radio in his truck and that is all he will listen to. He love Crosby Stills and Nash, 3 dog night and more....

16. What do you admire about him most? His compassion for other people, his understanding of different situations. His patients. His love for his children. His love for his own siblings and his parents. His desire to make me happy and to understand me. To work hard and teach his children that it doesn't come free. To always learn new things. To continue to grow in the gospel.
