Camping To Hannagan Meadow

We went camping last weekend to Hannagan Meadow. It is up around Alpine Arizona. We went through Globe, Show Low, Springerville. It was so much fun. It should have taken us like only 5 hours to get there, but we stopped along the way to enjoy the ride while the day light lasted. It took us more like 7! But along the way we saw bear....it was at night and it had crossed the road and was going up the hill when I saw it. More like the butt end of him. Deer, and Elk. We got in so late that we just parked the trailer off the road somewhere and then in the morning we found a better spot to camp. And Dave found a really nice spot to camp. The weather was nice. When we left it was like 92 degrees. Well it was much cooler then what we are used to. At night it was getting to like 38 degrees. During the day like 60-65 degrees. I must say I really really enjoy that we have a heater in the trailer! The real purpose of the camping trip was to HUNT BEAR! Well at least hopefully find one. I must say that if we really came upon a bear I would have a hard time watching Dave kill one. They are just a beautiful animal. But we saw allot of bear poop! Dave got up on our last day of camping and went out early to see if he could see a bear, well he did find fresh poop....and he saw some deer, and then he saw 4 wild mustangs. He said that was really neat. But i was hoping to see some fall colors. Well the leaves have already changed up in the mountains, but I was able to catch a few good trees with some of the leaves still on. A pretty yellow. We took a ride on the quad down to the Black River. Ah I know my brother David and my sister Gail would have loved to have seen the trout that was in that river! It was a nice trip for Dave and I. And our little Tawni loves to camp as well. She worries me some times when she goes playing, she is so little she is a coyotes meal. Dave keeps telling me she is OK. But I don't let her get to far.

I know there are some " The Hills" watchers out there! I know I really should be watching more wholesome shows like the Disney Channel......LOL any ways, last nights episode just got me so angry. Those young adult people are STUPID! I really do not LIKE Spencer! What a freakin dork he is! So arrogant, ugly, and just so plain rude! Rude to his sister, and his girlfriend Heidi who I'm not to fond of either....But then there is Adriena, what a dumb girl to keep like whats the buckets name....Justin?? What a loser, and she keeps following him. He is rude to! Ah the saga but I can't wait till next week. What so sad this is all real, not made up lives. I would just love for a 15 minute advise from Pam Wright! I would tell them to just grow up and quit being stupid! YA not going to happen...... = )

Halloween Decorations

A week ago Saturday, Dave came home from quail hunting, he had a good hunt by the way. So he knew he has to do some Honey Do's for me..... So he got right on it and started putting up our lights outside for Halloween. It was good to finally get started on it. Its time to move with the season. I just want summer to last longer. Not the heat to stay, but the playing to stay. Lake Powell to linger! But I also just have had a hard time with the change of things. I did realize one thing was that I just missed Jaren Phil! Plain and simple. I just had to admit it. I know its OK to miss him, Just that he is not here to have fun with through the Holiday seasons. So David was really good at getting all the Halloween boxes out on to the floor and let the decorating begin. When the kids were little we were so into decorating the house. I just loved doing it. We would put spider webs up, and and also decorate up the windows outside to. Now with the kids grown I don't get heavy into decorating like we used to. Maybe when we have grand kids it might be different?? But I do have my favorites to decorate with and its always fun to bring them out and have memories.

Missionary's

We have had the opportunity to have the missionary's in our home very frequent because Dave was the bishop and they would come and report some progress with members and other things as well. But then I would love to feed them to. I love to have the opportunity to have them in our home. You feel the spirit so much, and then in return, I want to take care of these boys feed them because Jory has served and Jaren is on his mission and I know that other members have cared for them. You try really hard and not get attached to some of them. But they have come and have set such good examples for our family. Jaren has had this opportunity to get to know some of them really quite well. I hate it when they have to move on But I can't be selfish they have other lives to uplift and people to find and share the gospel. They are wonderful missionary's and I'm grateful for the time we have had them on our home!

Winter Flowers

OK so its fall i guess. But here in Arizona its still feels like summer. We had a bit of a cooling trend day yesterday...ya right. It was in the mid 80's. But to us it feels great! So I asked David to plant some flowers for me for the fall. I never got my summer flowers. To much was going on with Jaren and so on. So I had to look at a bare flower bed for the summer time. Planting grass and doing flowers in the yard is not one of David's favorite things to do. He actually gave a day up of hunting quail for me to do this project. Lucky me! So here they are. They look so pretty. And in a month we will have our winter grass as well. I love to look at flowers, they just make your yard look so wonderful. So thanks David for my flowers and grass....He will go hunting next weekend!
