Utah Conference Meeting

Dave had a ITSA meeting in Ogden Utah this year. Its the International Thermal Spray Association. What fun it was to have it in our home town. It was from June 6-8. Dave and I decided to stay in the hotel where it was at. It was  called the Summit. Off of 24th and Lincoln. So Friday night on the 25th St they had a old car showing. We missed some of it because of dinner and mtgs Dave had that night. So we caught a glimpse of it

When we saw this I had to take a picture. Its a vega!! I don't know what year, but I had a Vega that same color just before I got married. My dad new someone who fixed up these cars and sold them. My brother Jeff and Dave also had one. We for a while was a vega family! I had that car when I had Janica. So I had it a good many years. Of course mine did not look that good. I had some serious rust going on on my car.
So Saturday we had a  activity planned that Dave had his meetings then they head out golfing . And those that don't golf have a fun activity planned. Well we went to Snow Basin for lunch and a ride on the Gondola. It has been years sicne I have been up to Snow Basin. It was fun to be reminded of the beauty of the mountains. I'm sure that Dave has skied here. I never skied when I lived in Utah as a kid.
So inside where we had lunch we saw these amazing chandeliers!!

Grandma and I spent the day together and she just loved the ride on the Gondola

This is a view of Pineview Dam

After the adventure with Snow Basin and Dave and his golfing tournament My brother's Dave and Jeff along with Suzanne and Karen we walked around 25th street for a bit. They have really cleaned up the streets made some nice shopping stores and build up this area for tourist to come and visit. Back when I was a kid, we were never really allowed to go down this street as well as 24th. A lot of bums, drunks, ladies of the night.....haha But I really have enjoyed seeing the clean up and how fun they have kept the history of Ogden on this street.

That is the Ben Lomond Hotel That we had dinner on the 11th floor.
My brother Dave and I catching some time together as we were walking around
I was having some fun taking pictures in the elevator. Dave and Suzanne were in the front
Dave grabbed me and wanted to get some pictures with the sun setting. I really have missed seeing the town of Ogden and remembering all the fun I had as a teenager

This was Dave's last night of being in charge of the meeting. He has been President Chairperson you might say for the last two years. He is a great leader. We were fortunate to have our family with us that night and enjoy a really nice dinner.

There is the flour mill just off of 24th and the freeway

Breken's And Jaren's Birthday

I try hard to separate these boys birthday. But Jaren was not home for his birthday. He went to St. George Utah to spend it with his missionary companion Josh Redmond or aka "Red" because his birthday is the same as Jaren's. So Jaren's is the 1st of June and Breken's is the 3rd of June. So we were able to celebrate right on Breken's birthday.

I had to throw in a few pic's of Bridger!! He is soo cute and such a good baby!

Dave and I had a workout just before we started the party. So we had pizza and I had a hard time eating it so I soaked up some Bridger time.

Jaylyn amazes me of how well she can bake and decorate cakes. She always had the cutest cakes made for Breken's birthday. I do not have that talent. Breken is into at the moment tractors

Now Jaren's cake well its like this. The susie homemaker that I am....Jaren asked for a Ninja Turtle cake!! So I just laughed to myself, huh how do I make that??!! Well you go to Fry's grocery store and pick out a cake. Which by the way tasted sooo good!! And they had the topper for Ninja turtle!!  And there you have it!! Great cake!! And he loved it!!

This little boy Easton, hmmmm loves whip cream!!

Love all the funny faces that Mr. Easton can give us and make us laugh!!
 One happy boy!
This was a fun year for Breken's birthday. He understood the present thing. Open you get toys!!
