Girls camp was from June 14-18. We had a great time at girls camp. Me as a leader was really surprised by NOT any drama there. My last experience at Girls Camp was me sending her home. Not with this stake, my old one and I had just been released as the Young Women President and the new one could not go. So I was the lucky one who stood in for all the fun. Its sad she knew what she was doing to push peoples buttons. And she was so lucky to have me as a leader there cause I did not take the crap so lightly!! But that is in the past. And this girls camp was not at Lomia either. That's the only place I have been with the girls. So this was a new adventure for me. Taylor Ranch up in Pindale AZ. Camping in tents. It s a good thing tenting is nothing new to me. We got down and dirty I will have to say!!! But what wonderful girls I had to spend my time with. The 4th yr girls ages14-15 were on their own camp adventure. So we had 11 girls with 5 leaders in our camp site. We had 3 YCL that lead camp singing and other activities from our ward but spent the time with the other girls their age as YCL in their own tent.. We had great weather. WINDY I will have to say!!! Just more dirt to spread on your body!! But what a wonderful spirit was brought with these girls who came to learn and have fun. I did two days of hikes with these girls. First with the 3rd yr the second day with the 1st yr girls. It was a really fun time to really get to know all these girls. Such good girls! Next yr they will have the pioneer trek for 14 and up. So there will be no girls camp. And more then likely we will not be leaders to go with the next set of girls. So I had a great opportunity to see a different way of how a different stake does things and as a ward. Won't complain.
