Bike Season Open!!
I started back to bike riding again. My friend Cheryl and I decided that its kind of cooling down a bit!! Well it will get better as the month ends out. We went on Tuesday of last week and just went for like a couple of hours. It was warm and we had a late start as well. Then on Thursday we got a much earlier start and started out at 9:30 am and ended at 2:40 in the afternoon. We did have breaks in the day. We had lunch at subway and then made our way to the shop. We started out on Val Vista and went to McDowell, then headed down canals, and then we went on Lindsey all the way to Elliot, then to the shop like I said and that's on Mesa Dr and Baseline!! Cheryl has this heart monitor watch that takes her heart rate and counts calories as well as miles that we have biked. When we were done she was calculating what we had done for the day....I said we biked about 15 miles...the verdict is.....30 miles!!! WOW 30 miles. That beats our 27 mile day we did back in the spring. AND we burned 3000 calories!! And it was all fun!! I just love the feeling of just riding and seeing everything. Its going to be a little toasty on Tues when we go, but on Thursday we are going to have a listen to this a cold spell come in and it will be like 88 degrees!! That's perfect bike riding weather!!

Family Time and Brittney's Bridal Shower
Last Weekend we flew to Utah for Brittney's bridal shower. We got some really good tickets to fly so that was really nice. Brittney is from Morgan Utah. It's a small town. The weather was fabulous. Coming from Arizona its a cool down. Brittney's sisters where the ones that put on the shower. They are gorgeous girls. Brittney is one of 6 girls in her family. Her poor papa who has to give away 6 girls....but the flip he gets some nice son in laws. It was a lot of fun to be there. Then on Sunday we went to Dave's sisters house Danene and had lunch with the family. Danene has had 3 new grand babies in a month. Cheri had Chyanne in August, and then Brandi had twin boys September 11th. So its really fun to see all the grand kids playing with each other. It was a really nice fast weekend!!

Megan and Diane

In the back of the picnic table is this kid who lives down the street. His name is Hunter. He helps Kris my nephew out with the kids. So when we go there Kris introduces him as Hunter the neighborhood kid. I just thought that was so funny.

This has to be the funniest picture to see the grand kids playing a card game. It just reminds me so much of when I would go to my Grandpa's and Grandma's house and the best thing was to do was play with the cousin, and play card games.

We are not trying to give these two ideas that we need to have a baby really soon but I can wait, but they will have fun with their own kids when they come..

This is Janica, Dana (Dave's sister) and Jaylyn. I think these girls look so much a like.

Here is Angie, Suzanne and Jessica my niece

This is a quilt that Jory's grandma Nelda made for them. With lots of love and hard work. Its just really beautiful

This is David after church, he had to try out Cam's bike. Cam and David have the same bike, but Cam's is much newer!!

SePtEmBeR LaKePoWeLL With The RoSkeLLeY's
Heyyyy Youuu Guyssss

We are all so intrigued with Brandon's capoeira stuff that he does, he was doing a few moves on the dock!!

Dave and Cam love those guys!

Brandon, Heather, Dave, Suzanne what a beautiful sunset to see

Brandon is so cute as to poise as the Lake Powell tourist

Tawni was so good as to amuse us in her swimming skills she preformed for us, she was a little apprehensive but did really good. She can swim fast to get it done!

Cam is so gentle with her

Dave and Brandon getting ready to jump off another cliff we found

This was such a nice day to be a Rainbow Bridge, it was a shady walk up and a beautiful day as well.

Dave and I are sharing his ipod tunes. Ok his hand really is not that big either!!

We had lunch up a canyon that is called Twilight Canyon, we have named it Dave's drive in. That's where we go to have lunch. But further up we did some exploring and found this little neat spot. Its so different when the water is up. and it came up a lot this year as well.

Dave had some butterflies in his tummy when he jumped, HA HA, maybe that's why his hair flew up when he jumped!!

This is one thing that David worries about when we are out boating. When the water comes up it covers a lot of the rocks in the middle of the lake. Well when it comes down, this is what you see. If those boys were to step off the edge of what they were standing on it would end up being 50 to 100 feet deep. Freaky huh..

It was a Roskelley family trip that ended our stay at Lake Powell for the summer. I have decided that I want to do more trips in September next year. It was wonderful weather. We chose the week after Labor Day Weekend. Not a lot of people. We were able to find our favorite camping spot up Padre Canyon. We have been there all summer with our trips. And it was the very spot that we got that we had with my family three yrs ago. That was our last time we did Lake Powell. My brother Jeff was not able to make it due to work, and my sister Gail was not able to make it as well. But we had fun with those that could. David counted up how many times we have been this summer. It was 6 times. WOW it really did not seem that much. WE just love the water and playing there. So I hope that next yr we can make it again with my family. Also I bought the movie The Goonies. I have never seen this movie all the way through. Actually my kids have seen it and for some reason it seemed scary to me!!! Well its not. It was a good movie!! A classic I might say!!

This is Antelope Point Marina, we love to go there and eat dinner!!

We are going to show the family how big some of those house boats are!! Love our poses??
