Brittney's 30th Birthday Party

Brittney celebrated her 30th birthday!! Jory and Brittney planned a dinner where you end up going to different places to eat. They started off by going and getting drinks at Q-tip, appetizers at a friend of their's parents home in Tempe Baldo and Lauren, Salad at Brittney's friend home in Mesa and the main meal at our house. It was so fun to do this!! So they met at Jory's and Britt's house to start off.
Jory got her flowers to start off her birthday day

This is our house the final destination, Janica and Jaylyn and I had fun decorating up the place

David provided the out door fire pit for us to roast marsh mellows

Happy Birthday Brittney!

Primary Kids

This is my Primary kids. I teach the 6-7 yr olds. Well this was my last day teaching them. Dave and I have a new calling. We are in the singles ward. Dave got a calling to be the Executive Secretary to the Bishop in the singles ward.  I have big mixed feelings about this. I just really have enjoyed teaching this class. Some really cute kids. They are from back left to right, Emmarie Ellsworth, Elle (new girl to the class) Lindsey Mortensen  Halle Jenkins, Zach Bowmen, Sam Brown, Roc Lundell, and visitors with Sam. They are his cousins. Dave made them a parachute survival bracelet. They loved getting them!!  Halle and Lindsey come over sometimes to visit and want to play with Jaren!! Funny!  So on to a new ward and change again......

Words With Friends

This game takes over your life!! But I love it!! You find yourself getting so competitive with this game! I have 4 games with with my friend Cheryl. Really one is not enough. Then I have 2 games with David at the moment. 1 with Jaylyn...and a few other games with friends. I play it before bed, when I wake up in the morning to see if they have played back. It's great bathroom material. Who needs to read when you can play WWF!!

~ FaLL ~

We went to Utah this past weekend for David to do the Tough Mudder Run. And I was so excited for us to possibly take a ride to the mountains to see the leaves. Well no time at all did we have to do that. So on our way home I was trying really hard to take a picture along the way of some of the leaves that have changed. This picture was taken in between Panguitch and Knab. When we left Az it was still in the mid 90's. We really don't get to feel that fall feeling because our trees in the valley don't really change. You have to go to Flagstaff or Payson and see the leaves. It's a great feeling to feel the change of the seasons come and go. When you live in Az you don't get to feel the season change. I have those feelings but don't see them. Weird I know. While driving to Utah you have time to sit and think a lot. I had feelings on the seasons and thought which season is my favorite....Well I decided summer is my favorite. I don't like to stop playing in the summer. Summer means Lake Powell, Trips to the beach in California. I don't get to do that as much as I like. And swimming. Summer is just play time!! But my thoughts about the other seasons are I love spring and the new feeling that comes from it. Leaving behind winter and starting fresh. Fall I love to see the colors in the trees like the reds and oranges and bright yellow. Those feelings are letting go of the summer accepting  change and liking it because it feels good to have the cool weather that comes with it. Change of clothes to wearing sweaters. So that leaves winter as not my so favorite season. I love Christmas time and the fun time we spend with family. But being cold I guess I really don't like! I love Halloween and the fun that comes with it. I really hate the month of January! Biggest letdown of the month.  So there you have my feelings on the seasons!!

Halloween Decorating & Sewing

It's really not a good idea to sew and decorate at the same time. And then when you have a 2yr old around as well. I was wanting since September to put Halloween up this yr. I was just excited for halloween this yr. So Dave pulled it out right at the time Jaylyn and I are trying to sew some blankets for family members to take to Utah. Jay and I somewhat procrastinated  on our projects to get done. So push came to shove and we only had a few days to finish them.

This is Breken's favorite Halloween decoration. I have it on my phone recorded so that he can listen to it. It has a giggle and vibrates and then it say's Happy Halloween. He just laughs everytime he hears it. So we heard this go off to many times that night! I finally had to put it up.

I really don't know how to sew. So I have to ask Jaylyn a lot of questions! Haha I know she gets frustrated with me. But I wanted to make a strip quilt and she wanted to make her square one. We have never done a strip one before.

Here is Jaylyn's finished project. It was made for Allyssa our cousin who is due with Beckerman Nov 1st. She made a car seat cover and this blanket. They both turned out really nice. OK my project turned out...ahh OK....It was my first blanket on my own. All I can say it was made with love!! It was for our really close friend Corrianne's baby Paxton. I was suppose to have 8 strips which Jaylyn and I thought we cut out but I only sewed 7 strips! I have know idea what happened. It's made with love really!!! It was not even on the strips sewn. HAHAH Its kinda funny in a way. But I do want to make another one and see if I can do better!

Eating Buddies

We have become eating buddies with Easton! He is such a good boy while we eat out. We had dinner with him on Friday night at On the Border. Good mexican food. He has not been a nice boy during the week with his Mom and Dad. He is teething and has kept them up all night. Boy do I remember those nights!! But he was sooo good with us while we ate Friday. Then Saturday Jory and Britt were over watching conference and after the session was done we headed for a late lunch - dinner. We went to a new place that Dave found. It was called Teakwook Tavern. When we pulled up I was a little scared that it was going to be a bar....but when we walked in we saw kids, we were safe. Dave was wanting the wings. And once again Mr. E was really good. He is eating table food really good. Britt still feeds him baby food but he was in love with the sweet potato fries.
